Sightseeing
Take a train ride on the old railroad line
From Domaine du Bocq, near the old Purnode station (Maison Régal), the old diesel train leaves for Ciney and back in the summer months. A beautiful ride through the Bocq Valley, over old bridges and through dark tunnels. Have lunch in Spontin or Ciney, remembering to take the last train back to Domaine du Bocq!
(Citadel of) Dinant
Dinant is only 7 kilometers from the campsite. It is a beautiful historic city where there is much to see and do. For example, climb the famous Dinant Citadel. This beautiful citadel is situated on top of a rock and can be reached via a steep staircase or an elevator. Once at the top you have a wonderful view over the beautiful city of Dinant. Or taste the well-known Flamiche of Dinant. A cheesecake that is for sale at every bakery.
Ruins of Poilvache
The ruins of Poilvache, between Namur and Dinant, are among the most extensive medieval castles in the Meuse (2.5 ha). They charm those who love nature and the past.
Monastery of Maredsous
A visit to this beautiful monastery is definitely worthwhile. Discover how monks lived in the abbey of Maredsous.

Citadel of Namur

Caves of Han and Wildlife Park
Caves of Han: In the Caves of Han you can discover how humans used to live in the cave. At a depth of 110 meters you will enter an Armory of Origin. Here you can hear music and sounds and you will be completely carried away by the experience of the cave.
Wildpark: Visit the Wildpark with a safari car and discover about 250 hectares of nature. This Reserve is located in the middle of the UNESCO Global Geopark Famenne-Ardenne. There are many animals to spot in the Reserve, including the European Big 5: the bison, the wolf, the brown bear, the lynx and the wolverine.
Chateau Veves
Chateau Veves is an ancient castle with much history. The castle was built around the 670s AD. In 1200 this castle was destroyed and rebuilt in 1230. This castle remained a fortress until the Middle Ages. In addition to the history that took place here, you can also go on a treasure hunt and hunt for the chest.
Chateau Fryer
Several generations of Dukes of Beaufort-Spontin have lived in this chateau. They will give you a unique look inside their chateau. This garden has something unique, 3 styles of landscaping were used: English, French and Italian. The French gardens are made sleek, while the Italian architecture is more like twists and waterfalls. Blanche de Namur, the famous beer brewed at this brewery, won the gold medal in 2019. Here you can find the best white beer in the world! Visit this fun brewery and find out how they brew this delicious beer. In less than five minutes drive from the campsite is this fun brewery, definitely worth a visit!

An interactive, digital tour of "Maison Leffe". Discover the story of Leffe and taste different beers.
Caracole Brewery
Brasserie Caracole is a Belgian beer brewery known for heating water with their wood-fired oven. The bottles here are still filled by hand and so is the label. One and all craftsmanship at this brewery.
Eating a Dinant cake at Patisserie Fabrique de Couque
This is a cake which is made in the town of Dinant. The Dinant cake is made of flour and honey and baked in pear, walnut or beech wood. The cake tastes like taai-taai or speculaas. Definitely a must try!

This museum is about discovering strawberries and berries. The place where this museum is located is also called the strawberry capital.
Wine tasting at Chateau Bon Barron

Railroad Anhée
During a journey on a so-called rail bike, you will cycle at your own pace along the picturesque valley of Molignée.
Ile d'Yvoir
This small island is also the only island in Belgium. Worth a visit if you want to walk through nature or do one of the many water sport activities they offer.
Here we also offer the Water Games for groups of 10 or more!
Furfooz nature walk
Parc Furfooz is both an archaeological park and a nature reserve. The walk is four kilometers long in total and is therefore also very suitable for children.
Rental of mountain bikes
Want to explore the region around the campsite by bike? No problem! A mountain bike will take you to the most beautiful places in and around Yvoir. Novice or experienced mountain biker, there is a route for everyone. We rent mountain bikes for half a day (€ 20.00 per bike) or a full day (€ 25.00 per bike). Ask at reception for more information.
Hiking in the surroundings of Domaine du Bocq
Domaine du Bocq is the perfect base for walks in the area. Hike to the old quarry or cross the river by a narrow bridge and visit a small cave. Good walking shoes are not a luxury!
Canoeing on the Lesse or Sailing on the Meuse with Dinant Evasion
Canoeing: Kayak 12 or 21 kilometers on the Lesse and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. You can take on this adventure in a 1-person or 2-person kayak. Curious about the possibilities? Ask at the reception for more information.
Sailing on the Meuse: Discover the joys of water tourism and sail in a boat through the admiring valley of the Meuse. On your own? No problem, Dinant Evasion offers boats that you can drive yourself without a license. You can enjoy up to 7 people in a boat and discover the landscape of the Meuse. Prefer a comfortable cruise? Then go on board the Copére or the Sax and discover the beautiful countryside around the Meuse.
GPS Tour
Discover the secrets of the Domaine du Bocq area. This GPS route leads to the special and beautiful places around the campsite. Answer the questions and riddles during the GPS tour, which will be checked upon your return.
Note: This activity is suitable for ages 9 and up and can be booked at the Domaine du Bocq reception. Participants aged 9-12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Dinant Discovery
Discover Dinant with the help of a walking puzzle tour. You go on the road with a backpack and supplies, in between you can even visit the citadel of Dinant!
Note: This activity is suitable for ages 6 and up and can be booked at the Domaine du Bocq reception. Participants aged 6-12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Swimming pool, rowing pond and playground Domaine Chevetogne
Domaine Chevetogne is a beautiful area where you can undertake various activities. There is an outdoor pool, a rowing pond, a playground and you can go mini golfing. Furthermore, you can take a beautiful walk through the gardens of the Domaine.
Indoor swimming pool Ciney
In this indoor pool you can enjoy a slide, a sauna, a children's pool and two large pools. There are even 2 jacuzzis where you can relax.
Fabiola playground at the Citadel of Namur
This is a playground in the beautiful countryside. Children can play outside with other children, while parents can sit on the terrace and enjoy a drink. The children can have fun on the go-karts, bouncy castles and trampolines. Furthermore, there are playground equipment where the children can play on, such as a slide, swings, mini-golf, table tennis etc.
Horseback riding in the Lesse valley
If you love horses, this is definitely a must. Manage Belle Vue in Dinant offers you the chance to make a guided ride of 2 or 3 hours. During the ride you can enjoy one of the most beautiful valleys of Wallonia.
